Sheesh, More Crap!

So today, the whole issue with my mom is better, but I got a call from my boss bitching me out AGAIN for taking a day off (I have over 2000 hrs leave time) . For the last 5+ yrs, if you wanted a day off, you fill out a leave slip and put in in your supervisor's box. If they don't tell you no, then you don't come in. Well, that's what I did and got bitched out for it. Of course, policy states that you have to request the day off AND get a response before you take the day off, but as I said, for the last few yrs, we haven't been doing it this way. I think they been letting us get away with doing it the "wrong" way, just so they will have something to come after us for later. I know his REAL reason for calling and bitching me out and it has nothing to do with my taking a day off. It's all because I left my shift snitch to the dogs.

Last week, I got called in (ON MY DAY OFF) to get bitched out for (1) the way I handled a situation and (2) something someone that works with me complained about. Now mind you, I had been called three times on the phone for these same things, but that wasn't enough. Also, I got these calls approximately 4 hours after I got off working a 12 hr night shift. Anyway, I admitted that the first situation was handled poorly and I saw where they were coming from, but the second incident was a total blindside. I didn't know that situation was gonna be brought up or that the situation even existed! You see, I seem to have a snitch that works on my shift and he goes to my supervisor whenever he's not happy with something that happens on shift. Of course, he never says anything about ALL the stuff he does, but he's quick to complain about stuff the other guys do (I supervise a shift of 3 males and 2 females). My supervisor loves drama so much, he just eats up the whole situation. He has tried several time in the past to establish snitches on my shift, but we had loyalty and no one would tell him anything. If we were doing something illegal, that would be a whole other story, but nothing we do is illegal. The big complaint the one guy has, is that the other two guys are good friends and talk a lot during shift and the 3rd guy doesn't have anyone to talk to (he admitted to me if we got another guy on shift, he would be happy cause it would give him someone to talk to). He went as far as to tell my supervisor that they need to split up the two guys. The two guys do their job very well and although they do sit and talk during shift from time to time, it's not a problem and it's certainly not his responsibility to report it. The way I look at it, if someone is coming to you with rumors about someone else, you should look into their closet to get the skeletons out, but of course, they don't. So anyway, after my bitch session, I got my shift together and had a bitch session of my own. I spoke to them as a shift and to each one individually. One of the guys also gave the snitch an earful, including letting him know that he caught the snitch sleeping on shift and didn't say anything, but that if he continues to snitch, he would report him. So, by taking off, I left the two guys who now pretty much hate the snitch, alone with him to supervise.

So, the drama at home is over for now, but I have a feeling that the drama at the office is just starting. I would love to win the Powerball so I can tell them all to kiss my a$$!
